What do eyelashes have to do with it

Hey friends,

Here we go, email number two! Right on track with twice a month:)((remember if you don't want this email, reply right away, no thanks, and I'll never send another!))

If you've been watching my stories you know, I went and did the deed--

Got the beautiful eyelash extensions put on.

And they ARE beautiful. But they're annoying to my eyes. I think about them a LOT, and I touch them way too often.

I said to me, "Teri, list the pros and cons of having these," today as I had messed with them for the 36th time.

My lash extensions cost money, they poke me, they blow in the wind, the appointments are time consuming-- and truly, the only pro is really, they look pretty.

This exercise in making a smart, responsible decision had me correlating to exercise, nutrition, and psychology. Clients are often frustrated when results aren't coming as quick as they would like-- and I get it, when you're doing all the things and weight loss isn't happening- IT IS MADDENIG.

But, if we will slow down, and think-- when we list the pros and cons of the process, we have to decide what makes sense to us long term regardless of how quick or slow the results may come.

Pros of taking steps daily, prioritizing sleep, eating nutrient dense foods to nourish our body, and strength training 4 or so times a week, and drinking our dang water:

We are hydrated. Our skin is more glow-ey, our joints hurt less, and our digestion works better.

We're full! We are nourished when not fueling with junky things at the gas station but usually, and mostly with home cooked or whole ingredient foods. Our muscles are tighter. Our body runs better. Our energy is higher.

We exercise and exert our body so when/and if- We ever need to in real life- run for our life, carry something, move something, or protect ourselves or our people- We're obviously much more able to do that, if we practice functional things that help us perform that way throughout our days.

We often sleep better because We don't sit all day- because We prioritize movement which does, make our bodies tired enough to sleep well.

So yes, sometimes the scale isn't moving but just like Lindsay from my stories today, if you're actually looking at measurements and pictures--your body IS tightening or getting smaller even if the scale isn't responding exactly as you'd wish.

So go ahead. Get frustrated with the scale. It sometimes is a "Carol Baskins Betch " as my dad lovingly refers to it- but, none the less you must ask you this:

Are the things I am doing ACTUALLY healthy for me? Are they actually improving my quality of life? Are they increasing my likelihood of fighting disease, and improving my overall well-being in day to day terms?

HECK freaking yes! they absolutely are!  So I BEG you! Stop letting the scale dictate your whole mood and your whole life--

Because this isn't a DIET, the behaviors, and habits-- they actually equal YOUR LIFE:

And your life is better, when you live it, well!

Hit reply, talk to me about the cons of your healthy lifestyle behaviors! I bet the list is short❤️

Wishing you health, happiness and abundance, and the reminder that I'm always listening,

Trainer Teri
