Ae you as exhausted by social media as I am these days?

I got brave and decided to do the dang thing, just to send email number one, of how many more to come, I am not sure.

What can you know for sure?

I won't be up in your email list daily. Or even weekly most often, I'd say a best guess would be biweekly with tips, tricks, advice, and solutions to common problems in our health, fitness, and be a good human pursuit.

My question for you today, also, is there something that I could help clarify, or break down for you that would make your pursuit of wellness—easier? Help me bring value and content that actually does something for you and helps make your life better-- in your inbox!

The first thought for the first email I have for you- is that I don’t want you to be so overwhelmed by doing everything perfectly, you end up doing nothing. There is a lot of advice out there, a lot of tips and tricks and a lot of plans that really can work for you. But my best solution, to be healthier than you are today, for the biggest audience has always been:

1. Stop treating yourself like the enemy. In your own mind, most people say hundreds of things to themselves daily. Start changing your own narrative from “I can’t, it won't work, I am not worth it,” to “I am worthy. I can! I will! I am imperfect but I can still try!” The mind is your most powerful muscle, flex it, by reframing thoughts, and by CHANGING thoughts. You are so incredibly powerful, and you CAN DO THIS. It just takes practice. And then more practice, and then redundance of practicing more haha!

2. Hydrate. You know the saying, “drink more water you’ll be so busy peeing you wont have time for drama,” that always really makes me laugh. Rule of thumb here, do you drink 0-8 oz of plain clear water each day? Make a goal of 16-24 oz to start for today, and this week. Do you drink 24 oz of water most days? Make a goal for 48 oz of water today, and this week. Do you drink 60 oz of water per day, most days? Maybe aim for 60-80 today or this week but honestly, you’re probably just fine there, because the average consumption recommendation is half your body weight in ounces per day. Note, if you aren’t drinking much, it isn’t wise to triple or quadruple your intake right away. Take a few days or a few weeks and adjust slowly so you receive the most benefits.

3. Steps. Just walk. No speed walking, no running. Just one foot in front of the other. This has been shown time and time again to be one of the most effective long term weight loss and weight maintenance solutions. It is low impact, great for most ailments, and wonderful to clear your mind and keep your brain focused on treating you, like you are your best friend—BECAUSE YOU SHOULD BE, and if you aren’t, it’s time to start working on making that your biggest goal.

Those are my three best steps for starting a health(ier) journey.  Don’t do everything, do a few things well, and stay consistent with them long enough to realize, they must be part of your daily life forever, and I promise, you will be healthier and stronger than before, and ready to embrace and take on more challenges easier.

Hit reply to this email and tell me if you are already doing those three things—and you need one more to focus on. I’ll reply back in the next 2-3 days and give you another “assignment!” Also, Hit that reply button to Tell me:

Yes bring on these emails biweekly!

Girl, please no.  Thanks for thinking of me though.

No reply means you’re good with seeing me pop up in your inbox from time to time, until I see a reply that says “delete me,” or “no thanks!’ or you hit the unsubscribe button (when I figure that out!). I am never offended by your truth. I would be so offended if I thought people were ever afraid to be who they really are to me. I have built a business on authenticity and because I want room for my truth—I want room for you to be TRUE with me too. No judgments, no pressures, and everything we discuss here will always remain anonymous or completely confidential if you choose.

Thanks for reading, thanks for forwarding to your friends, I am always listening, and I love to hear from you,

Trainer Teri
